Taking the Bus to the University of Washington
We strongly recommend that you utilize public transportation to get to the University of Washington. The Seattle Metro public transportation has an excellent trip planning website. The closest bus stops to Kane Hall are at (in order of proximity) 15th Ave NE & NE Campus Parkway, NE 41st St & University Way NE, and at the Husky Union Building (HUB).
Driving Directions to the UW & Parking Information
The closest parking garage to Kane Hall is the Central Garage beneath Red Square.
To get to the Central Plaza Garage from I-5 (Point A, below), take the NE 45th Street exit (#169). Turn East onto NE 45th Street. Continue East about one quarter of a mile to 15th Avenue NE and turn right. Head South on 15th Avenue three blocks to NE 41st Street. Turn left at Gate #1 into the Central Plaza Garage (Point B, below). Stop at the gatehouse inside the garage for directions and a parking permit.
Parking is available for $6.00 on campus after 4:00 pm (please note that fees may be higher if there is a major event on campus).
Location of the Kane Hall
Kane Hall is located in the NE corner of Red Square, between Odegaard and Suzzallo Libraries.
If you are driving to campus, follow the directions to Kane Hall painted on the wall in the garage to the NE elevator, which can take you directly to the second floor of Kane Hall.
