There are numerous ways to get involved with CHR. We encourage all interested people to explore how they can best participate in supporting our programs and projects.
Though the Center for Human Rights is housed at the University of Washington, the majority of our programs and projects are funded by individual and foundation donors like you. Your tax-deductible gift to the Center will make a tremendous impact in our ability to continue to carry out our work. To give online visit giving.uw.edu/chr or contact firstname.lastname@example.org to speak to someone about other ways to donate.
Whether you choose to check out our website for project updates, friend us on facebook, follow our tweeter feed, sign up to receive our quarterly newsletter, or have your event listed on our Community Events Calendar, you can engage with CHR from anywhere.
The Center holds a variety of events throughout the year. Our events feature human rights work in our local communities as well as human rights work abroad and range from panels and workshops to large lectures. Every year we feature a winter event near on on Human Rights Day that celebrates UW students's human rights-related work. In the spring of each year, UW CHR holds a symposium and reception celebrating human rights work in our local community. To see UW CHR's events calendar, click here.
Periodically, the Center for Human Rights will offer internship and volunteer opportunities. To see what opportunities may be available and for instructions on how to submit an application, click here.
